The Galaxy Note 7 should mark the return of the Note range on the european market. After having deprived of Note 5, Samsung should change his tune and offer its next PHABLET with pen in our region. Here's everything we know about it.
If last year, Samsung has deprived us of the Galaxy Note 5 to better highlight the Galaxy S6 Edge +, this year it is the opposite scenario happened: the Edge + range bade farewell, so that 'entered the scene the Galaxy Note 7.
His official announcement is being held 8 August 2016, and after weeks of share and other leaks, it is time to take full stock of the phone and its features.

Like the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge before it, there will be two versions of this new model in the range Note: a version with Snapdragon 820, reserved (for now) the US market, and a version with Exynos 8890 for Europe and part of Asia.
We waited with the Snapdragon 821, but it will not happen: the SoC used for this version is finally also the same as the Galaxy S7 before them. And like them, we will have the right to Exynos 8890 in Europe.
There are not afraid of a lack of power, however: in front of 820, the 8890 Exynos comes to equal surpass see some performances of the last of Qualcomm.
"Only" 4 GB of RAM !
Although it was rumored that the Galaxy Note 7 is equipped with 6 GB of RAM, the official announcement confirmed that "only" 4 GB of RAM LPDDR4 be used for high-end PHABLET. A strange choice, when we know that Samsung has already created chips 12 and 6 go.
One might think that this is a production issue, that they are not yet ready for the market ... but it is not. On the contrary, many Chinese manufacturers have already adopted them, including 1+ and OnePlus 3.
Screen 5.7-inch curved edges
Although a prototype of Galaxy Note 7 is a classic version, Samsung has chosen to make the design of the "Edge +" common to the Note range from the new model. If you do not like the curved screens, so you do not have a choice.
However, this is an excellent screen as the builder gave us used to have. This is a 5.7 inch Super AMOLED HD quad being the first to benefit from the technology Gorilla Glass 5 giving it a foolproof resistance. It also has the Always On Display.
A software novelty of importance, however, made its entry: the ability to change the definition of the fly screen, to maintain a minimum battery if necessary. A feature that we hope to find in most smartphones later, both Quad HD may be laughable to some.
We do not change a design that works
On the design side, it is very simple: the Galaxy Note 7 yet resumed once the S7 features, without real change. Hardly does one notice the port dedicated S Pen, while the rest is a copy of its big brother.
And this is not a quality or a defect. The design of the S7 Edge is already very good in itself, that is if you will be sensitive. However, this is a very logical move on the part of the manufacturer, which has made it clear its offer for consumers.
Galaxy Note 7 S Pen hormone
The specificity of the rating range has always been its Stylus "S Pen" that allows users to interact with the conventionally screen as well as accessing the software features dedicated.
As we have seen before the announcement, three new features have been added to the Air View: the ability to automatically translate text into 71 different languages, to zoom in on a portion of the screen and create gifs animated.
This is not all, since the new S Pen has never been clear: it has a peak of 0.7 mm thick and weighs only 3 grams to 20 cm in length. Best of all: it is also IP68, as its port and the entire phone.
The Same photo captors with a Twist
In the photo section, the Galaxy Note 7 once again shows the specifications of the Galaxy S7 with a back sensor 12 MP sensor and a front of 5 MP with f / 1.7 and Dual Pixel Technology. Is the best sensors of the year according to many tests.
Samsung, however, added a little twist plus: a new chip, dubbed mDNIe that will enable phones to capture HDR videos in order to enjoy his new further screen. A first for a smartphone, although it will wait to see it in action to judge the utility.
For now, we only have a few shots given by Samsung for us to account for the quality of the camera. But of course, distrust is warranted and actual conditions are often too different from the official catches.
An iris scan that James Bond would not disown
And finally, the last great novelty of the device is other than iris scanner allows you to secure your phone even more. This is possible through the integration of a new camera on the front, dedicated to scanner and also with infrared light for night operation.
In the end, this is a new more secure way to unlock the phone, but do not just replace the other methods already in place such as the fingerprint scanner or simple patterns and PIN codes.
Most users should also stay on the fingerprint scanner, much more practical for everyday use. After all, we must have the phone in front of you and getting up at a certain distance of the eyes to use it. A waste of time that does not cause the fingerprint scanner.
Release date and price of the Galaxy Note 7
Are only two things of importance to know about the Galaxy Note 7: its price and availability. Pre-orders of the device will start on August 16.
As with the Galaxy S7 before him, the new Gear VR headset will be offered to all pre-orders of the device. Note also that a USB adapter to Micro Type C USBsera supplied with the unit, to be sure of not having to change your accessories.
In its basic version with storage at 64 go, the Galaxy Note 7 will be priced at € 849. It will be available in Europe in 3 colors: black, blue and silver. The "gold" version, however, should become available later.
